  PORTLAND ARADHANA

Portland will host the 20th Pacific Northwest Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana Music Festival in April 2010 following the tradition of previous years. The festival is in homage to the great musician, saint and composer Sri Thyagaraja and other great composers who have contributed to the development of Carnatic Music.

The tradition of this music festival in the Pacific Northwest dates back to 1991 when Carnatic Music lovers in Corvallis, Oregon took the initiative to organize this festival. Ever since, this festival has been rotated between Corvallis, Portland and Seattle every year, sharing the organizing responsibility between the three cities.

Portland Aradhana's sole mission is to organize and promote Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana Music Festival in the Pacific Northwest. Please donate generously to support this cause.

The all-day festival will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Aloha-Huber Park School located at 5000 SW 173, Beaverton, OR 97007.
We will continue to communicate through email. If you prefer to receive the messages in a different email account or would like your name to be removed off our distribution list, kindly let us know.

Please register early as participation will be based on a First Come First Served basis. In order to maximize the number of participants, group participation will be given priority over individual.

Please RSVP before February 28, 2010.

We thank you in advance for your support.

With best wishes and regards,

Portland Aradhana Committee Members (Mini Jairaj, Geetha Pannala, Vara Prasad, Shailajah Prasannan, Tinny Srinivasan, Gidu Sriram, Jayashree Vardhana)
